Summer dive moves fast and furious with lots of diving opportunities for your diver! One of those opportunities is a meet called Wally Martin. This is a fun meet that NVSL puts on every year. It highlights skills that our regular meets do not. There is a synchro event and a 3 meter event.

Be talking to your diver about whether or not they’d like to participate in either event. For synchro, each child will need a partner. 12 and under divers will perform 3 dives and 13 and up divers will do 4 dives. The kids will be placed in the age group of the oldest partner.

For the 3 meter event, the kids will perform a meet sheet list similar to their one meter list.

Wally Martin is on Sunday, July 7th. NVSL has practice days at Oakmont prior to that. We have signed up for July 6th from 4-4:30 for synchro partners and 4:30-5 for 3 meter participants at the OakMont Rec Center (formally OakMarr). During this time we will have coaches on deck to help your divers. If these times do not work, let us know and we will work with you to find a different time. Do not attempt to go practice at Oakmont without a coach on deck!

The synchro event is free, and there is a $5 fee for the 3 meter event. You will also need a divemeets account for your diver for the 3 meter event. Let Paula know if you need help getting that set up. Her number is 706-296-3903.
