Hey Greenbriar dive team, with our upcoming season, we have a lot of new! 

New dive reps! If you haven’t heard, Angie Lander, Paula Threadgill, and Julena Goodell are our new dive reps! We also have a new email address - [email protected]. Send any questions to this address and one of us will get back to you.

New coaches! We have a new coaching staff this season! Paxton Martinez is our head coach. Rowan Threadgill and Juliet Wells will be assisting him with the team. All three were Greenbriar divers last season. Look for their bios on Swimtopia soon!

New practice times! Like in previous years, before the FCPS school year ends, our practice times will be after swim team finishes. From May 28-June 12, this means we will start at 6:15 pm and be done at 8 pm. Remember that the water will be cold the first few weeks. Our little ones often cut their water time short, and that’s okay!

Starting June 13th, divers will be able to choose one of two times. The 1st practice will be 10:15-11:45 and the 2nd will be 11:30-1 pm. We would like to generally divide those groups by experience, meaning our newer divers should attend the 1st time and more experienced divers the 2nd, but it is up to you!

New Volunteers! Many of our more experienced volunteers have moved on this year, so we are looking for new help. We will need judges, table workers and snack bar help! To judge you must attend one of the NVSL clinic dates. The dates, times and locations are on the NVSL dive website https://dive.mynvsl.com/ as well as on the Greenbriar Dive site. The first clinic is on June 2nd at Overlee pool. (You can find the addresses of every NVSL Dive pool on their website by clicking on Teams.)

New dates! Besides our normal Tuesday meets which start June 18th, we have two B meets scheduled on Thursdays. One is June 13th and one is July 11th, both at home. These will be meets for kids who have never been in a dive meet before or perhaps don’t have all of their required dives yet. We’d also like to invite kids that have a new dive they’d like to do in a meet in front of judges.
