I wanted to send an email with your winter diver options. As you saw this summer, improvement is generally about repetition. I am not suggesting you make dive a daily habit but for our younger divers, once a week with a dive coach could vastly accelerate your progress next summer.
I am aware of three options in this area.
Dominion Dive Club (DDC) - Dryland is located in Vienna and they practice at Oak Mar Rec Center. https://www.dominiondiveclub.com/ If you want personal testimonials, I know Rowan and Paxton are going full time there and Mason will be there part time this fall and winter
Alexandria Dive Club - (ADC) they practice at Lee District Rec Center. This is where Matthew learned how to become Matthew, so I would talk to the Bray’s
Cheryl Metz - they practice at Oak Marr.

Hope you are having a great summer! It's about that time to open registration for Winter Dive for the upcoming school year. Like year's past, we will be holding our winter dive practices at Oak Marr Rec Center on Sunday nights. The program will run during the school year, September through May.
The dates for Winter Dive 2023-2024 are:9/10, 9/17, 10/1, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 12/3, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/18, 2/25, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/19
There are 2 practice slots - 5:50-7pm for younger kids (grades K-6) and 6:45-8pm for older kids (grades 7-12), though there is some flexibility on sessions based on the number of sign-ups, and your schedule considerations.
The cost for the entire school year is $485. To sign up, please click on the link below and fill out the registration information. Slots are first come, first served and they are very limited, so if you are interested, please sign up right away! Returning divers from last year's program and those from last year's waitlist are giving first access to sign up. There was a Mason Dive but I am uncertain of their future at the moment. Juliet Wells has dove with them so you might want to see if they know anything.
I endorse the top three as I have experience with them. I think everyone should find what fits there divers level of interest, schedule and your wallet. All of these are equally important! If you miss a winter of dive it is not fatal but if they have interest and availability, it’s a great activity that will get them away from screens and into challenging themselves both mentally and physically!
