Once again, I am very proud of all our divers who competed last night. We had first meet ever competitors:

Hannah Snyder (she missed out on 2nd by 1 point)

Mario Guillen (His second dive meet ever!)

We had 2nd places by:

Anna Goodell (diving on an injured ankle)

We had 1st place by:

Kai Threadgill

Special thanks to Kai and Matthew! B meets get a bad rap as being a lesser meet. They shouldn't be considered in that way. A B meet is not a team event its a diver development event. Some divers need additional meets to work on a dive or on mental preparation for a meet or just a low key place to have their first meet. They are a tremendous opportunity to improve yourself and I appreciate Kai and Matthew showing up, working on dives and hopefully improving.

Lastly, the coaches pick the divers of the week but I may start picking the parent of the week. This week is Julena Goodall! Wednesday night she took on the task of meet secretary. As she found out, in the heat and humidity, it's a thankless and pressurized task. Last night she served as a judge for the B meet. It is parents like Julena that allow our meets to go smoothly and without controversy. Thank you.
