Busy Week Very Busy

Hi All,

Before we get to the week ahead, I wanted to thank Ellie Lander, Aryana Gray, Emma Fricke, Eliza Miller, Chris Kim, Kai Threadgill and Will Dallas for participating in the Crackerjack meet yesterday. It is very important to me that our dive program be represented in all events in which we are eligible. The Crackerjack is a great meet for a developmental diver to compete against those who are in similar stages of their aquatic journey. Yesterday was an efficiently run meet with over 500 participants. Our divers did well! Some competed a new dive for the first time. All show well against their competitors and one brought home a medal. Thanks again to the divers and their families for making this possible. (Funniest and scariest line of the day came from our head coach Aidan "I didn't know crackerjacks were a real thing. I thought it was just the name of the meet." made me feel old and sad, all at the same time!)

On to this week.

Tuesday Night - Last "A" meet of the year and Senior Appreciation Night. Please come if you can to show appreciations to both Alyse Madsen and Luke Portofe. Both have dove for Greenbriar for many seasons and have improved greatly over this time. Culture is imperative when keeping a team strong for the long run. I know how busy their lives are at this time and I really appreciate them making time to be a part of the team. I do hope you can make it. If you haven't yet please declare your diver and sign up for a job. I will create a job for Senior Honors organizer for Tuesday night. That person will be in charge of a 5-8 minute program for these two Senior divers!

Thursday Night - Our first "B" meet. I will send out invites shortly to whom I believe should compete in the B meet. The rules are the same as Crackerjack. There will be no team scoring only individual competition. Ribbons will be awarded. This is the first time Greenbriar is hosting a B meet. We will need volunteers. I will put the ask up shortly.

Sunday - It's Divisionals meet which will be at Arlington Forest. I will be sending out the team shortly. We have had a few cancellations so some of you will be receiving the invite for the first time.

As a preview to next week. Saturday night July 30th will be our end of season party. We will hopefully celebrate those who will be competing in All-Stars the next day and all our other accomplishments!

July 31st is All-Stars and will be the last event of the season.

Please volunteer as much as you can this week. Even if there isn't a slot open, show up ready to help. Leah Martinez has done a great job this year and has the challenge of holding two Dolphin Diners in 1 week.

See you at the pool,

Joel
