Hi All,

For some, tomorrow will be your first experience as dive parents for others, you may be starting your second decade as dive parents but only a few have done this since last July.

First, in order to dive, you must have your meet sheet complete and signed prior to the meet. Coaches prepare the meet sheets but as some are very new, it would be best if each diver checked in with the coach tomorrow morning to confirm their dives. You can sign your sheet at the meet.

Second, all divers must be @ Fairfax Station Swim and Tennis Club 6203 Old Arrington Lane, Fairfax Stations, VA 22039 NO LATER than 5pm.  That is when we have the board for warm-ups. If your son or daughter needs a ride to reach the pool by 5pm (it's a 15-20 minute car trip. Please respond to this email and we will get them in a carpool.

Third, meets go from youngest to oldest. So the littles go first, usually a great number of beginner divers but they only dive 3 times. The oldest go last but they have 5-6 dives per competitor. If you can hang, please stay for the Senior divers, they need are support too and we have some excellent Senior Divers who can really put on a show.

Fourth, typically after the meet, we meet as a team at the McDonald's at Greenbriar. I will double check seating area times. Last year they weren't open so we often went to Sweet Frog. These times are the best for the team as they get to tell their stories of fame or woe.

Fifth, Currently the only divers who have declared as not being available tomorrow are Anna Goodell, Emma Fricke, Dallas William, Joshua Nassar and Hannah Quick. I still had a number of undeclared when the event closed. It is vitally important that you let us know if your diver will be available. We can only dive 32 divers for each meet. Currently, I have 34 divers who have responded positively or remain undeclared. If you know your diver will not be available tomorrow, please email by tomorrow morning. This will allow us to dive the divers who are available and will save the coaches the trouble of preparing a dive sheet.

Sixth, we still need volunteers, each meet runs off roles. I only have one judge who has volunteered of the 3 I need. Likewise, I only have 2 tableworkers of the 4 I need. I would like to do the first meet with those who are experienced at this and then have those new to dive join in after they have seen/experienced a meet. I have reopened the jobs available. Please volunteer.

That's it, I know, seems long but it will seem like old hat very soon.
