We have a our first meet on Tuesday 6/21 @ Fairfax Station 6203 Old Arrington Lane, Fairfax Station, VA 22039. Our divers will need to be there at 5pm for warm-ups.

What do you need to do?

Declare your diver eligible or not eligible

In order to dive at a meet you must declare your son or daughter eligible for the meet. How do you do that? If you are on your mobile, 1st go to your swimptopia app. Then press When the landing page comes up, press view website. Under upcoming events hit view all. It will say "Job Signup" and "Meet Entry" Press Meet Entry. Then press the undeclared button. A drop down box will open and you choose between "attending" and "non attending". This needs to be done more than 24 hours 

Find out if your athlete is diving

Only 36 divers are allowed to dive for a team at each meet. We currently have 39. Not to worry, most weeks we will have a couple on vacation or otherwise unavailable. That means, almost everyone should expect to dive each week. (However, the coaches will, with discussions with the dive reps, will determine if a diver is ready to dive in a meet.) We want dive meets to be both safe and positive for our divers. If we don't think the diver can complete the dives safely or if the diver really doesn't want to compete, then they won't compete. We have both A and B meets this year so everyone will get multiple opportunities to dive.

Arrive on time

Dive meets are very process driven. Our divers will have the boards @ 5pm at Fairfax Station for warm-ups. If they aren't there on time, they may have to compete without proper warmups. If you need to carpool, let us know and we will work it out. 

Volunteer

If your a first year dive parent, especially, this first away meet. Don't be over eager. Let the more experienced parents pave the way. At away meets we need 3 judges and 2 tableworkers. I would appreciate it if are experienced parents stepped up. Just hit the "Job Signup" button next to the Meet Entry button and sign up for a job opening. Judges must have attended the Judges clinic either this year or in a prior year to judge. There is only one more judges clinic offered this year. It's June 22 Wednesday @6:30pm at Camelot pool.
