Always celebrate our successes!

Good Morning Team,

A mark of a successful team is that it has successes and it celebrates them! This weekend Greenbriar Dive had some more successes! I explained what the Wally Martin Dive Meet was last week. We had some intrepid divers (Matthew, Michael, Evie, Rowan, Simone and Mack) step up Sunday and compete in this meet.

The most important part of the Wally Martin and the AllStar event that will occur at the end of the season (in my humble opinion) is that if you win, you become immortal as your name is printed each year in the NVSL handbook. They have been having these competitions since 1968 and to date only four (4) Greenbriar divers have gotten their name “in the book.” We are blessed to have them all part of this years team. Coach Samson ‘13 &’15, Matthew ‘16, ‘18, ‘19, &’21, Michael Bray ‘19 and Mason Waterfield ‘19. Matthew is now “in the book” a remarkable five (5) times in all competition and let’s remember he has 2 more years to go.

Yesterday, Matthew won the Senior Boys 3 meter competition. Mack Miller came in 3rd for Freshman Boys and Rowan Threadgill came in 4th, missing 3rd by the slimmest of margins in Junior Girls. This is a great results for each of these divers and Greenbriar as a team. We are proud of them and all of our competitors and look forward to more divers getting their name “in the book” in the years to come!

Congratulations again,

Joel
