Operating under my rule of if I get more than 2 questions on the same issue . . .

The Wally Martin is the next dive meet on the schedule but as you might have noticed, I haven’t mentioned it until now. Historically, the Wally Martin has been a 3 meter event and 1 meter synchro event. Due to Covid, they decided early on to not have the synchro event. 

Coach Samson has been reaching out to those divers with 3 meter experience to gauge their interest in competing and he will be meeting with them separately at the event site. The 3 meter event is generally contested between “club” divers who also do summer dive. As such, we are not attempting to sign up our “summer only” divers for this competition.

It is unfortunate the synchro portion was cancelled as that is where “summer divers” were more able to compete in this meet. It also is hurtful in regards to our history with this competition. In 2019, when the synchro was last held, Michael Bray teamed with Mason Waterfield to win the 12 and under competition while Matthew Bray teamed with a friend from another pool to win the 13 & up competition. BTW Matthew came in 2nd at the intermediate competition for 3 meter (only losing to his synchro partner). 
This is why most of the team will not be competing in the Wally Martin this year. We hope to have greater involvement next year.
