Week of June 28th - July 2 Practice, Meet, Corn Hole and Zone’s!
Hi All,
Yes, we will reach July this week! Busy week ahead, we have morning practice every weekday. Freshman and Juniors have PM practice on Wednesday and Friday. Intermediate and Seniors have PM practice on Monday and Thursday. (Some have conveyed, due to summer camps and such, they can’t make morning practice for a while. We still want you practicing. If we have a PM practice will less than 25-26 in attendance. Please come practice. We split the nights to keep the numbers down so the divers can get more reps but if your athlete(‘s) will go more than a day or two without practicing, please bring them.)
Wednesday AM practice is know as “Fun Practice” win or lose! This week, we plan to have our corn hole tournament. We had three families volunteer their corn hole sets. If you could bring those Tuesday night and place them in the shed, we will have the tournament Wednesday morning! As a reminder, we will be pairing older divers with younger divers to promote friendships between the age groups! So please make every effort to be there Wednesday morning!
Our first home meet is Tuesday night. Whether you are diving or not, please come out and support the team! We have several of our more experienced divers out this week so others will be stepping up and need your support. I think most if not all of the volunteer jobs have been taken this week, so thank you. We still have a number of divers who have not declared for the meet Tuesday, although, we have far more responses than last week, so thank you again.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Matthew Bray will be competing in what is known as “Zones” in Wisconsin this week. If successful, he will continue to the Jr. National Championships later this summer. I will do my best to keep everyone informed about his progress. I know you join with me in sending your support to Matthew as he competes for his spot in National’s!
Thanks, as always, please respond with any questions or concerns!
Joel
