Inclement Weather Policy and weekend training sessions
Hi All,
It appears, we might have some weather this afternoon. As such, it’s a great time to review our policy regarding inclement weather.
Inclement Weather Policy:
Rule #1: If the pool closes or is closed, practice is canceled!
Rule #2: If the coaches see or hear thunder or lightning they make the head coach aware and he will suspend and likely cancel the rest of practice. (Our practices are only 90 minutes, typically not long enough for a storm to safely distance itself from the pool.)
Rule #3: If a parent hears or sees lighting or thunder please make a dive rep or coach aware immediately. Sometimes plane noise can be confused for a storm. Once it is clear that it is thunder or lightning. The practice will be suspended.
Rule #4: If you are on your way to the pool and you hear or see thunder or lightning, go home. We will contact you through the platform if practice will start later but it probably won’t.
Lastly, on a meet day, we will sometimes wait it out. We will take all safety precautions but in order to keep a disruption to the pool and families schedules to a minimum, we will make every effort to get the meet in so please watch email and the home page of this portal for updates on those days.
